Stewart Fails to Win Award Mon 30th Apr 2001 10:13
Marcus Stewart last night failed to emulate John Wark as a PFA Award winner when Teddy Sheringham carried off the prize. Stewart failed even to make the divisional XI with Thierry Henry and Sheringham the chosen strikers. Wark won the award in 1981, the last time a Town player was nominated.

Richard Wright will be back in training tomorrow, but George Burley insists he will not be pushed too quickly. The Town keeper missed out against Coventry with a back injury, but has been improving all week.
Town Squad Fri 13th Apr 2001 20:20
Town's only injury victims ahead of tomorrow remain Gary Croft (groin) and John Scales (calf). Other than that it is a full strength squad which George Burley will choose his side from for tomorrow's game with Newcastle.

Town chairman David Sheepshanks announced the new ticket prices this afternoon with fans paying 50p more across the board. This means that the standard season ticket is now £329 as opposed to £319 last season.

Town legend Bobby Robson is not ruling out returning to Town in some capacity when he leaves Newcastle United. Blues fans have long hoped that the man who guided us to FA and UEFA Cup glory would return, perhaps as a director of football.

Town's reserve side face Coventry tomorrow (7pm KO) with Richard Naylor continuing his return to fitness. Yesterday George Burley said that Naylor would be in contention for Town's Easter programme if things continue to go well.

Town's major injury worry Fabian Wilnis is back training and Town will decide tomorrow whether he is fit enough for selection for the crunch game with Liverpool. Wilnis injured an ankle in training last week, but the injury is by no means as bad as first thought.
Naylor to Return Fri 30th Mar 2001 14:11
Town striker Richard Naylor may be back sooner than we thought and is looking to next week's reserve game with West Ham. Naylor had two operations last summer for his tendinitis problem, but not long afterwards broke his leg.

Town injury worry Hermann Hreidarsson came through this morning's training session and may be OK for Sunday's game with Bradford. The centre-half has been missing after suffering a hamstring problem against Leeds.
More Woe for Naylor Thu 01st Mar 2001 13:17
Richard Naylor has been dealt another blow in what is turning out to be a week from hell. The Town striker has been given the news that his newborn baby Jessica Jayne may have to undergo heart surgery. Just a few days ago Naylor learnt that his knees may require further surgery, although it is hoped that this can be avoided.
